Podcasting

I would like to use ready made podcasting in my classroom. I wish there was a way to save in the itunes store so that no matter what computer you were on, the podcast would show up in a playlist or something. That would be very convenient. But, that is not the case. So, the best way to get around this is to write it down. If anyone has a better way, let me know. Thanks!

I have made podcasts of my own in the past. The students love to make them. It does take time, equipment, and space. Remember that!

This is a picture of the ocean floor in Jamaica. I could get this picture from Flicker uploaded by another person. There were 330,000 pictures that I could use for this about Jamaica. It sends it directly to your blog if you enter your blog into flicker.

Flicker, Delicious

I like the idea of flicker and delicious. I did put some of my pictures on Flicker today. It was very easy. I would like to make myself find the time to do that with all of my photos. I can make the photos private. My daughter uses snap fish. It does a similar task. It did come in handy for her since her computer recently picked up a virus and won't open. I like the idea of tagging my pictures because I am really bad at that on my computer at home. I usually have all sorts of trouble finding what I am looking for. I will save a lot of time using good tags for my pictures.

I love the idea of delicious. I have begun to put all of my bookmarks on delicious. I love it that you can open your bookmarks at any computer station that you are currently at. I still have to put the buttons on my personal laptop. Since I take my computer to school with me, I will be able to open my bookmarks at school also. Nice application!

I have found a spot to register for skype. I have never used skype before, but this location helps people find others who would like to skype between classrooms. You put your information on the site and wait for others to respond. You could also check through the list to reply to someone that you might be interested in participating with your classroom using skype. The location is http://skypeintheclassroom.wordpress.com/

Well, I have learned how to add several things to my blog just because I had the time to try. I've also read about the security issues. Always be sure blogger.com is in your address bar before putting in your password. Good advice if you don't want anyone to end up causing damage to your computer. Look around in the gadgets. There are so many more ideas to put into your blog that will save you time or entertain others.
